This hasn't been a good past few days for 80's icons. First Ed McMahon, then Farrah Fawcett and now the King of Pop.

No, he isn't dead. But, TMZ has reported he was rushed to the hospital suffering an apparent heart attack. CPR was performed. I'll update when I can.

Sadly TMZ has reported Michael Jackson has passed away. I'm dumbfounded. Shocked. This is extremely sad news, considering how big a presence he was with anybody who grew up in the 80's.

Wow!!!!! What a terrible day. Farrah and Michael both in the same day.

March 6, 1923 - June 23, 2009

I'm sad to report Ed McMahon has died at the age of 86. There is no doubt Mr. McMahon was a huge part of 80's culture. He was perfect as Johnny Carson's sidekick on the Tonight Show.

We also remember him throughout the 80's as the guy who, if you saw ringing your doorbell, could change your life with a huge Publisher's Clearing House check. And don't forget he was the host of Star Search, the show that really started all the American Idol's and America's Got Talent and the such.

Ed will be truly missed. I guess Johnny Carson will be waiting in heaven and he can take Ed's role just this one time and say "Heeeeeeere's Ed!!!".
